A well designed Makerspace promotes inquiry, problem solving, and creativity. Students need access to open-ended learning opportunities, and the library is a great place have a Makerspace that is dedicated for this type of learning. We want students to grow from opportunities that move outside traditional classroom experiences and learn through self-directed, hands-on exploring, designing, and creating. The table and case requested will allow us to set up activities in the library media center that involve coding, using the green screen, breaking down electronics, 3D printing, and more. Activities and challenges will be created for beginners up to advanced levels so that any student at any level can participate.
