For the past two years, Swartz Creek Middle School Student Council has been running a paper recycling program at our school. We are in desperate need of recycling bins for each classroom. Up until this point, teachers and office staff have been using old cardboard boxes to store their paper that needs to be recycled. This program is helping to create a culture in our school where we love and appreciate the environment and to teach kids that we can make a difference in this world. Eventually, we will be expanding our recycling program and will be requesting funds for some larger recycling containers to place around the school.
