I work with our most struggling learners across grades 3-5. These struggling students need concrete manipulatives and tools to help them build conceptual understanding in math. Research shows that when you can associate new information with a color, shape, object, texture, etc. you are more likely to recall that information. Kids learn by doing; by playing with manipulatives and doing math, not by doing worksheets.
"With constant budget cuts, there are no funds for new math supplies that are desperately needed. I work with so many students each day, and I could use this kit with my varying levels of students. It has so many different tools in it to help build that conceptual understanding rather than just making kids memorize facts. When teachers see their students making progress, they too will want to use what is in these kits to help there students.
Please help our school get what it needs so we can better meet the needs of our kids!
