The various center activities will allow students to interact with one another in small groups demonstrating their independence and knowledge. Fine motor skills are essential in the pre k classroom and there are various supplies that will advance their fine motor skills. Geostix and lacing cards helps students to further their fine motor skills. A listening center will give students a chance to listen to books on tape and also follow along with a personal book.
Students will be given an opportunity here for more math and literacy fun! The organization cart are for students to choose what they will independently work on via a worksheet and also defeat clutter in the classroom. The soft seats provide variety in our library area. The seats are comfortable and fun for students. Blocks will help students with math and engineering skills allowing them to build and add. Linking number monkeys help students with math and communication skills as they work together to learn how to add. Number match up cards are essential to learning how to count and recognizing the number in numerals, symbols and words. Imagination is key to pre k students as they will have interesting opportunities to dress up as doctors.
