10 New computers will mean I can get half of my class at a time on their individualized lessons for each subject of the day. We will only have to swap stations once, instead of the current 4 times required to get all students through the important lessons for each subject.
The noise level and movement-based distractions in my classroom will be greatly reduced with less switching and more working time on updated computers. This will show in my data when my students soar to more than a year's growth in my classroom, despite no preschool, no prior experience with computers and little or no support available at home.
My best efforts to teach using technology will be supported by more effective machines. My students will be better able to focus and learn how to maneuver the technology quickly, so they can move into individualized lessons right away. This important boost in growth will give my students an edge all through their school years.
