During our daily morning meetings, read aloud, small group centers, and whole group instruction students often yell, 鈥渟he鈥檚 sitting in my spot鈥 or 鈥渉e鈥檚 touching me!鈥 Due to this, I spend a great amount of time trying to separate students instead of on the curriculum that is planned for that time. With this area rug, students will be able to have a designated spot that will cut out the fighting and provide more time for instruction and partner work. In addition, this rug will be used as a tool for our alphabet, recognizing numbers, counting, and number sense activities allowing students to have a large visual representation at their hands!
