In reading, it is vital for our students to have a variety of language arts stations. We currently do not have a listening center that is usable for our students. Incorporating a listening center will aid in the enhancement of my students reading comprehension skills. It is also a fun and interactive way for my students to read and listen along to the author!
An effective listening center increases their listening comprehension level, which helps them as they progress through their academic career! Having audio-books, headphones, and a CD/cassette player, I will be able to broaden my classroom listening and technology center! Listening is essential to a child's development.
