I work with students in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade at Herald Elementary School. We have an average of 600 students who bring a lot to the table. They bring creativity, love, their own individual personalities, and joy; they also bring their worries, anxiety, and troubles whenever they have them. We work with ALL students, meeting them where they are, emotionally and academically, to help them be great learners and to become the responsible and contributing adults they will be someday. Every one of us at Herald is here FOR OUR STUDENTS. We love our students and we love what we do. Teaching, counseling, being the school nurse, being an administrator, cooking for our kids - these are all callings we do not take lightly. We were all called to be here to help our students know they are loved and that we believe in them, even on days they don't believe in themselves. It's great to be a Cardinal!
