My students face challenges, both in the classroom and their day-to-day life, with determination and excitement. My twenty-two students are very culturally diverse. Many of them are second language learners who come from a wide range of life experiences. Most of my students live near or below the poverty line but it never seems to dull their exuberance for learning. School is a safe place for my students. At our school, students are able to learn through science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Through hands-on learning I am able to shape these students into the critical thinkers, mathematics and engineers of tomorrow!
