More exposure to solid, social education literature is essential for our population of students who often come to school from print poor homes.
"Wonder" will help us support our current social education by discussing the uncomfortable topic of how to interact with someone who is outside the common definition of "normal."
We discuss many current issues throughout all subjects in class. Many students are worried about how kindness and empathy seem to be missing in our world today. This book may show them how they can start locally in the battle for kindness and empathy by treating each other better and being examples of how one small act of kindness can, in fact, change the world.
