My students are involved in reading in all subject areas. They need materials that are meaningful and engage in their literacy workstations and that support them to become bi-literate. They will be able to use these resources during English and Spanish time on classroom library and listening station. My kindergartens love to read different books. Their daily learning involves being exposure to academic language, but they also have to develop their social and language skills throughout rich materials that engage them to learn more everyday.
A listening supply and books are great resources for English language learners and Spanish language learners. They are not only expose to reading but they are also in contact with listening skill development.
