I am asking for these materials so that I can differentiate instruction to best teach all of the various learning styles that exist within my classroom. The fishing and pancake games will be perfect because they allow students to learn from one another. My students enjoy activities which are group oriented and where they will feel like they are playing a game but be practicing their sight words. I also love how the fishing game came with three different versions. The children in my classroom are at various academic levels and this will help me to differentiate instruction. The stamps will be to visually see their sight words. I have bought some of my own and they love this activity. It gets them thinking about each letter. The magnetic letters will work the same. This will allow them the chance to piece together their words, therefore learning where each letter goes. I have put my students into groups during our guided reading block. Many of these activities are to do together. Again, students will really enjoy learning from one another. They are all grouped at various levels so I will need appropriate materials to best teach them.
Learning needs to be FUN and engaging. I think that the items in which I have chosen will grasp the attention of each student and really promote student success within my classroom.
