My kiddos are a very diverse and enthusiastic group. Their reading levels vary from 2nd -10th grade. Regardless of their reading level, they are all eager to please and succeed. At any given moment, an observer will find at-least 80% of my kiddos with their hands raised and ready to ask and answer questions. As an ELA/Science teacher, I know the power of engagement within the classroom! Students become accountable, and take pride in their contributions.. They go beyond recalling information. They become problem solvers, designers, engineers, and communicators! My vision for my classroom is to have an environment that fosters this. My idea classroom will have STEAM centers, at each pod(flex seating) in the room. There will be technology available to each student in the form of a tablet, laptop, or Chromebook. This will be utilized for data, research, analysis, and presentation of all the learning and growth occurring!
