With the evolution of technology, young learners need daily access to the different technologies to become proficient. In my Pre-K generation, by the time they are in college, they will have to know and understand how to use tablets and computers for everything in education from writing/typing to searching the web for information. Technology can become the "wings" that will allow the educational world to fly father and faster than ever before-If we allow it. With the use of the iPads, my students will become more engaged and want to learn more about Mathematics and Language. Using different features for the ipads and not just app/games, I can help a wide range of learners. Using the touch screen capability students who lack motor skills can actually watch their finger move and write directly on the screen, which greatly improves their fine motor skills. The iPad will allow me to easily and creatively tailor lesson plans for each student based on what that student needs. My students come from a high poverty community and do not have daily access to technology. With the help of these iPads, I can help my students become dreamers, artists, explorers, scholars, and engineers.
