This project would be part of a sensory basket for the entire class to use. The baskets will include other less costly items like homemade stress balls, hand sewn hand fidgets, calm down bottles, velcro, etc.
These tools could benefit any child having a rough day.
Students will be able to use Therabands in many different ways. For example, they can place them on a desk chair to kick. By moving their legs they satisfy a need to move. Bands can also be used to pull and stretch when angry or emotional. These tools will be used by kids with instruction and support to find a way to calm their bodies to better focus on learning.
