I am a mild/moderate education specialist at Sequoia Elementary. I work in the STARS program. It is a special day class for students with high functioning autism and self-regulation difficulties. We have a general education and two aides in the classroom as well. We provide grade level curriculum with accommodations and scaffolds, as well as support for self-regulation, social skills and emotional well-being.
