Our classroom is building reading stamina! Little by little, we have transitioned into chapter books, which require extended reading time to fully grasp the content and plot. We are reading Winn Dixie, Tale of Desperaux, The Littles, BFG, among other amazing books! They have come a long way as bilingual students! My classroom's "Leaders of Tomorrow" will use these beanbags during independent reading time. As it is, we only have three yoga mats and one beach towel, which they use diligently and take very good care of during DEAR time (drop everything and read). I would be forever grateful for the opportunity to offer my students this option.
