My students NEED the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Robot Kits as a tool for hands-on application of STEM. According to research, Makerspaces allows students to engage in creative, higher-order problem-solving through hands-on design, construction, and mathematical procedure. The robot kit "fits the bill" for the Makerspace. Using the LEGO MINDSTORM robot kit, students will learn about designing, building, programming and testing a robot for end-of-task challenges. It will bring STEM to life with hands-on learning. Owning two kits will allow more students to work on a robot. Students will also have the opportunity to enter the STLP (Student Technology Leadership Program) competitions.
