The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The large carpet will be placed in the middle of the office and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons and a relaxing unconventional place to sit. The bean bags will be the students "chill seat" where they can literally take a load off and get comfort. This office is more than just a meeting space, it is an area where they can come take a break from the overlapping stressors they face daily.
We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long experts at self expression. I am learning our students’ academic strengths and weaknesses, gain insight into their emotional well-being, and mediate between their teachers and parents to ensure that they receive the support they need across the board. As the social worker, I have done extensive research and reading on ways youth can express themselves and relieve stress through play.. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
