My students will use the watercolors and paints and sand to create some of the land-forms and waters that they are learning about. The children will use the sand to create the texture of the land. Then the watercolors will be used to make the oceans, rivers, and lakes. We will make use of aprons to keep their uniforms clean, as many of them only have one uniform.
My kindergartners learn not only by listening, but by playing and creating. These materials will allow them to actively learn, play and create. Finally, the students will each have a place to store their masterpieces with their own portfolios.
