One of the best ways to learn a new language is through literature. Students will be engaged and excited when they are learning to read in their new language. Students will be able to have authentic language practice while reading books in Spanish.
In order to become comfortable in a new language, you need to practice. Authentic practice is more fun and engaging. By reading these books they will also be exposed to elements of Hispanic culture. As they progress in their reading, students can also share their new Spanish speaking and reading skills with younger students in the district.
