At this point, our school does not have a resource library for students with special needs, but we would love to start one this school year. Teachers will follow a check in and check out process in order to access equipment or technology for their students as needed. The technology and resources such as Liquid tile mat, Sensory balls, Sensory bean Bags, and balancing stones were strategically selected in order to address needs for all of our students with different needs. Chromebooks will help resource students in all grade levels access learning applications and assessments to assist them with reading, math, and social instruction. Sensory, comprehension and phonics materials like the Light Tables with simple words and letters can benefit students who have deficits in reading, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or those who are visually impaired. The resources will enhance their education, social skills, as well as communication within the school environments while building their confidence.
