The iPads would be very beneficial in communication. My students would be able to communicate with adults and peers. This would decrease behaviors that come with the frustration of not being able to communicate your wants and needs. These iPads would give my students the tools they need for communication, motor, and cognitive skills. The iPad can be tailored to each child and their specific needs, which make them more very effective for communication.
The iPads can also be utilized to teach social skills, an area that students with autism struggle with. Experts are saying that using the iPad for communication helps the students to feel safe and allows them to communicate more readily.
