I have a classroom library that the students get to pick from. I like to have different kinds of books that allow a wide variety of genres. Kids are very fascinated with history, but I have found that a lot of history books are boring and not made for children. These books are made for young students and have pictures for the students to understand what they are reading. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
