In order for my students to learn effectively, efficiently, and comfortably they all need their own space to complete their work. These round tables will give them the opportunity to have their own space, but also give them the perk of being near their classmates to collaborate, socialize, and share.
Having their own space while being close enough to collaborate with one another will instill a lifelong skill for cooperative learning with peers. This is a skill that they can apply to every aspect of their educational journey as well as their career field later on in life.
It is so important for them to have their own space especially at this young age because they are in the works of figuring out how they learn best and what their learning style is. Being on top of one another at table that do not give them an efficient amount of space distracts them. The round tables will be the perfect foundation for them to find themselves as learners and as a cooperative learning community member.
