The use of hands on activities happens daily in my classroom, especially in math. Incorporating hands on games to practice skills is a great way to engage learners and allow them to learn through fun play. The sight word puzzles, phonics locks, pop and learn math games and magna builders will allow my kindergarten students a hands on way to practice important concepts like shapes, CVC words and sight words in a fun and engaging way. The Pop and add math games and the flip and solve math games will be a great addition to our math block to practice the hard skills of addition and greater then/ less then.
The ball chairs and wobble stools requested will allow me to provide my students with options in seating. This is extremely important because allowing students to find their best working space will help them to engage in their learning while still getting in the movement they need for optimal retention.
