My students are a group with diverse learning capabilities. I enjoy everyday that I come to work because no two days are the same. I am a special education teacher at a fantastic elementary school. The campus that I serve on is a Title One campus, which means the majority of our students are economically disadvantaged and are not exposed to many things outside of opportunities afforded to them via school activities. My responsibility is to bridge any gap that any students encounter, whether it is cognitively or emotionally. When it comes to assignments some can be very mundane and monotonous so I try to add some spice things via throwing technology in, or having them to organize their thought process on a graphic organizer, or even throw in a board game. My students respond really well to the variety of ways that I teach them concepts, they are always very courteous and grateful which warms my heart!
