My students need a document camera to engage with the curriculum, and learn from each others mistakes and strengths. A document camera would allow me to plan lessons that engage all of my students by using any text resource, student work, or original example.
Math instruction requires the flexibility to draw pictures and create diagrams while problem solving. We can use this technology to review the day's agenda, announcements, as well as investigate difficult math topics.
My students are as diverse in their culture as they are in their learner styles and should be afforded every opportunity to access the math lesson. Having a document camera in my classroom ensures that I am interacting with my students instead of the chalkboard. This allows me more time to facilitate conversations and questions about math and ensure my students are absorbing the material.
