Sensory play has been proven to be a powerful tool in the education of young children. Many of my students have learning needs that require innovative teaching strategies such as sensory input that this table could provide. My wish is to provide a space in my classroom where students can explore and create in ways that are both familiar and also brand new to nurture their brain development! I am redesigning my classroom using design thinking, and beginning the year with a strong focus on social emotion learning and growth mindset. Sensory materials and a user-friendly way to access them will enhance the learning that takes place in my classroom! Thank you for considering my project!
