The soft seats will be used daily when the students write. They often pick an alternate place in the classroom they want to sit while they write and using these dots and clip boards they would be able to have a spot that is just theirs, no matter where they are.
The flex seats would be used as teacher chairs so I could be closer to my students (comfortably). The extra would be for the 'mayor' of the day so they could have a special seat to take and something to look forward to when it's their turn.
The comfy pillows and Big Joe will be utilized during free time/reading so they have a comfortable place to sit while they read or look through picture books. Trying to create a comfortable learning space will encourage them to be avid readers/learners. Not to mention, if there are any disabilities that keep a normal chair from being comfortable for them (or easily accessible) these other options will increase the likelihood that they will enjoy their time in school and want to be here.
