My students will be able to access books electronically. While they are not on a level with their non disabled peers in reading, they are proficient in the use of cell phones, iPads and computers.
It is very difficult to get them to read a "old school" book. They vie to get a turn to read my personal Kindle. I presently use it as a reward. If they all have a Kindle, I can control the content. They will practice their reading skills and advance their skills. Because they love to read my Kindle, they will want to read their own. The more they read, the better they'll get.
