We need Ozobots and Little Bits to help teach them the principles of coding, design thinking, and how electronics work. Ozobots are a great tool for introducing students to basic concepts of robotics. Younger students can use them with special markers to create specific pathways for the robots to follow as they learn about coding principals. Older elementary students can begin to learn programming concepts with the Ozobots as they use the computers in our lab to program their bots and then test their programs with their bots. Little Bits allow students of all ages to learn how electronics that they use everyday work.
Logical thinking, computational thinking, and design thinking are all aspects of using both Ozobots and Little Bits. The Little Bits I am requesting will not only teach students how the electronics they use every day work, but they will also teach students how to code.
As a technology teacher, I know I am preparing students for jobs that don't exist yet- jobs that will likely involve robotics, coding, electronics, and technology in general. My students deserve to be prepared for this world with access to the best current educational technology out there.
Thank you for helping make our 21st Century Tech Dreams come true!
