In my classroom we no longer work at individual desks. We are a family and work together as a community.
Students work collaboratively at tables which allow for better communication and collaboration.
The drawback to tables is we don't have a place to store notebooks and supplies. These chair back pockets would allow us to be better organized. Fourth graders need guidance on keeping their materials together and organized. By having the chair back pockets, students will have a designated organized space to keep their materials. This minimizes distractions with looking for materials and keeps the classroom moving forward. Organization increases time on task!
