The Number Toss Learning Center will be used to increase math skills of my students. This game will allow students to learn one to one correspondence by being able to count the number of balls on the board. They will learn number recognition because they will be able to connect the number of balls to the number shown on the board. Along with these very important skills they will also learn basic addition. They will be able to see the two numbers and count the number of balls to see how may there are all together.
Using games during instruction increases learning and makes learning more fun for students. The dry erase boards will be used during our small group instruction. My students love to use markers and they love to write on the big dry erase board in our class. When I receive these boards they will be used to reinforce letter formation, number formation, and sight word recognition. Writing is also a very important part of our small group instruction. These boards will be perfect for beginning sentence writing.
