Our classroom is in need of two important items. First we need a functioning kitchen set for pretend play! Play is the foundation of learning for children. Through pretend play, children learn to develop thinking, learning, and problem solving abilities. Pretend play can improve communication and language skills, as well as encourage imagination and creativity!
The amount of learning opportunities that the kitchen set and teaching easel will provide to my class our endless! That brings us to the need of a Teaching Easel. Students can practice their writing and math, visuals can be shown, and large books or resources can be displayed! As an educator, the easel will allow me to capitalize on teachable moments.
