I have been a Special Education Teacher for over 32 years in Indiana. My role has evolved and changed from a teacher of a self-contained classroom segregated and located underneath the bleachers in the gym to my current, very popular and vibrant resource room located in the midst of many other general education classrooms. I work with many students with various disabilities ranging from ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, Other Health Impairments to Autism Spectrum Disorder. My days are brimming with a flurry of activity and excitement. My students come to learn and grow academically as well as socially. One of my goals is to make my classroom environment one that is comfortable and inviting for all learners. Because my students are only with me for a brief part of their day I would like to have stools and tools that I can loan out to them to take to their general education classrooms.
