My school is inner city with a very diverse population. A high percentage of the population are on free or reduced lunch status.
I teach 7th and 8th grade Spanish. Overall, my students are eager to learn, excitable, energetic, and fun. Because the level one material spans over the course of two years, I'm always looking for ways to supplement my units. Unfortunately, technology, library resources, and school supply items are minimal which can create quite the challenge when class sizes are often over 30 students large. Our school also offers 4 magnet programs: dance, art, theatre and music. I am always looking for ways to tie these programs into our curriculum to further awaken student interest and talent in these areas.
