My project entails teaching the students social skills through the use of books. The students and I love reading and listening to the books, having conversations about the characters, and discussing how the characters are like us. After reading the books we are able to complete tasks and projects in relation to the book/s. Many times, I am able to refer back to the books we have read as the students deal with incidents that happen during their daily lives. The students really identify with these characters and it is so fun to hear them talk about them outside of my personal classroom.
