3D printing is not going anywhere. They are already using this technology in medicine, mechanics, architecture and even the culinary arts! Within our district, our campus administrators and our teachers have done a great job in utilizing technology. Chromebooks, iPads, Dot & Dash and Beebots are currently in the hands of our students, and they are flourishing (Dot & Dash and BeeBots are robots the student program using code)! I want to use this technology to give our students the basic knowledge needed to use a 3D printer.
Our students will learn 3D modeling/design and be able to see their creation printed in front of them. My goal, with this project, is to expose our students to all the different careers using science and technology. We want to show them that being makers and thinkers can also be fun and exciting because unfortunately, not everyone can be a professional athlete.
