I am teaching students that have learning deficiencies or behavior issues that cause some students to do poorly in math. Many of students lack confidence in their own skills because of continually seeing poor test grades and other issues. I need these materials to help create a efficient classroom for diverse learning. I also want to have these items to let the students know this class is important! I value their time working on math and I believe they can achieve, but it may take hard work. I believe to get low skilled students to buy in to see the same technology and supplies as the larger classes.
The material I asking for sponsor are normal instruments used in the regular ed math classrooms. The projector and document camera will be used to display notes and move thru guided math lessons/review homework. The larger pens I will be using during independent work time. I like to move to each students desk and make a check on their paper. I move around the room to help me understand if they are doing the problem correctly and make sure students are on task. The larger pen makes the process distinct for the students and encouraging. The pencils and other classroom supplies (expo cleaner, stapler, etc) are necessary items for the classroom. The students may forget pencils in other classrooms or want paper stapled to together. I want to have all the necessary materials to provide a great learning environment.
