The future movers, shakers, and makers are in our classrooms! As our society moves forward, we must also push our students forward. The introduction of coding into my classroom has brought a new light to so many students. I would love to encourage this passion through the use of Osmo.
This program allows students to manipulate tiles in order to create a coded sequence. Students can also use the program to build words, practice number sense, and explore shapes through tangrams. The Osmo software is able to read their creations and bring them to life on the iPad. Students love to see the instant result of their work!
I hope to bring this technology into my classroom to encourage all students to explore new things while learning the most important foundational skills of education.
