I have an amazing classroom of 23 students! I have 11 boys and 12 girls! I have a class of high achievers! My students love to learn, and especially love to read! A little less than half of my students come from 2 parent households that are doing ok financially. Half of my students come from homes that are struggling due to low socioeconomics, single family household, drug use in the home, or 2 parent household where the mother is the main financial supporter. I have a handful of students whom have families in which the mother is trying her hardest to "do it all". I commend them!
I believe in every one of my students! My students work so hard every day in class, and many of them work just as hard at home. Many of my students are Caucasians, a handful are Latino, and one that is African American. It's wonderful to have nationalities in my classroom as we celebrate each and everyone's uniqueness!
