Since our middle school opened in 2004 our student athletes have had to reuse girdles. We have not been able to replace the girdles due to a lack of funds. Reusing girdles has raised some safety concerns with the increase of MRSA cases in athletics. MRSA is an infection that is caused by a type of staph bacteria. We are asking for donations because new girdles will help maintain the safety of the student athletes. In addition, the training equipment will help improve the student athletes strength and agility so that they can perform at optimal levels during their upcoming season.
