I am the proud Activities Director at AHS. This means I advise two leadership programs--ASB and Advanced Peer Mentors. Both groups work tirelessly to create connections on our campus. I brought in my Cricut when I started at AHS. The students absolutely fell in love with the way they can personalize every event that we do. For our Mock Rock, the students made custom awards, stickers for every participant and gift bag tags. For our prom they have made over 500 rolled cardstock roses as well as cardstock Eiffel Towers and lanterns. The Cricut has lit a fire of creativity in them. Each new event coordinator brainstorms ways that our machines can make their event stand out, make students feel special and seen. The Leadership students spend countless hours training, serving their student community and leading their classmates in memory making moments. I am so grateful to spend my days with these amazing teens!
