My students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds most of them on free lunch. We are an AVID/STEAM school so we are teaching our students to be successful through being organized with binders, time management and taking notes. Our students are learning even in 3rd grade how to take purposeful notes and keep themselves organized, but we are instilling in ALL students that they can go to college with the tools that we are teaching them in class! Our classroom has concrete floors for easy cleanup, but not many activities can be done on the floors.
