Our school is a small progressive charter school in an urban area of Maryland. Our school's mission states that our ultimate goal for our school is that through project based learning, arts integration, parental involvement and community outreach, the students leave enlivened, with deep awareness of themselves, their families and the outside community, and with the capacity to be good citizens. I teach 3rd grade and am the only 3rd grade teacher in this small school setting. My class is comprised of students from a variety of social economic backgrounds.
