These resources will help create a safe and serene space for students. In this space they can engage and connect with others or just talk to me. When the stress and anxiety become too much students can color or just "chill". Stickers, motivational quotes, cards, fidget toys are all useful in helping students de-stress. We also offer after school and lunchtime yoga to students.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is a lifelong PROCESS through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to: understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, and establish/maintain positive relationships. This correlates directly with STANDARD 2: School counselors implement a curriculum, offer individual planning and deliver responsive services in order to assist
students in developing mindsets and demonstrating behaviors for academic, college/career and social/emotional development.
