As the facilitator in the classroom I would be able to address visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles along with differentiated instruction. An interactive document camera is a wonderful tool to help students who have autism or are on the spectrum engage in social learning within a small class setting.
The capabilities of a interactive document camera to be used with my white board would allow me a variety of ways to create engaging and interactive lessons. I would use it to assist with note taking and brainstorming. After students have had time to brainstorm on a given topic, I would record these shared ideas and then ideas could be dragged and dropped into groupings. Written text could be converted into type-written text which is helpful if I decide to print the notes for students to use to answer questions or as a study guide. Students would be able to identify and edit written work as an example for the class.
The portable cd players would be used to facilitate silent reading during Daily 5 and can be used as an early finish activity once their independent work is completed.
