Students will be able to create their own loom out of air drying clay using brushes and then paint. Many will get to mold clay for the first time. The clay will then be their own personal loom. They will then be able to weave on them using the yarn. This will allow them to be able to create many pieces on their own. They will be able to create washcloths, or any number of things. This will allow them exposure to multiple mediums and allow them to express their creativity. This project will build self confidence, and the weaving will provide a skill they can use for the rest of their lives.
