This project will bring nature into our classroom. This year, my students love animals and nature and are always curious to learn more about insects and animals. While we can go outside and find nature for our learning, we can't find these insects to observe on a daily basis. This project allows for that to happen right inside of our classroom.
This project is going to give my students experiences that they will always remember!
Throughout the month of April, I plan to have multiple insect life cycles occurring in our classroom. As we watch these life cycles change right before our eyes, we will be learning more about each of the insects. Students will be reading books about these insects during their reading time, and will be able to write about what they are observing and learning about each insect. This project will be implemented throughout our day!
This project is so important because my students will be able to watch these life cycles in action, see how the insects' physical characteristics help them survive in their habitats, and learn more about the insects through books that I will read aloud to the class.
Throughout this project, students will be able to observe and make their own conclusions in addition to the material that I will be teaching.
